Poetry in Motion

I wrote this for may husband for our wedding. It was a suprise. It has been our first five months and it still rings true.

LA LUNA

La luna no tiene luz
Hasta encontrar la luz del sol
Soy como la luna
Brillante con la luz de felicidad
Porque tú eres mi sol.

I’m so blessed to know you.
My future has warmth and light.

Juntos somos uno.
Un cuerpo, espírito, esperanza,
Salvación, fé y Padre celestial.

I know with you I can endure any plight!
Gracias a Dios por ti!

Porque tienes humildad, gentilidad,
Paciencia, y amor.

Because of this my love has taken flight.
Yo le pedí a Dios por un esposo y una unión
Bien fuerte y el me contestó cuando me dio a ti

I promise to hold on to you
With all my heart, soul and might.

I love you, precioso.
Te amo mucho.

This poem represents our marriage. The English alone makes one complete poem, and the Spanish alone makes one complete poem. Together the two poems, although separate entities, combine into one complete and fluid poem. Now we are joined as we begin to write the poetry of our lives together. Please pray for the success of our marriage. Thank you all for coming, but most of all than God.
